brilliant book

Easy Reading, enjoyable. Has you wondering who the characters are based on!

A touching story,a partially true story,i found this enjoyable to read.made me laugh soemtimes.i couldnt put it down.but at first i wasn't reluctant to read it.it wasnt a book i was eager to read but when i did i enjoyed it.It doesnt end how you expect.an unregrettable and unforgettable read.

Great Book. Very exciting and appealing to people of the younger age. Great baseline as it is based on James Bond but a younger child version. Altogether fantastic book.

An enchanting book with delightful descriptions and a fun storyline. This book will add a little magic to your day, a perfect feel-good story.

Bobby does not want to leave the delights of the city to live in the country, so much so that almost as soon as he arrives he steals a car and goes back. He wants to take up where he left off with his mates but apart from crashing the car and spending his money they are not interested in him. This is a novel about a troubled youth who slowly learns what it is to become absorbed in a task, be it working in a field or mending a car. Kate Thompson writes a fast paced novel, using raw language. By the end the reader wants something more for Bobby, and there is a sliver of hope that he makes something of himself as he becomes aware of the effect of his actions on others.

BRILLIANT BOOK you can't put it down sad but entertaining

A brilliant read - couldn't put it down!

A most interesting, moving and thought provoking account of the author's prison experiences. However, I found the omnibus edition difficult to read, as it is very bulky and difficult to handle, and Volume Two of my copy lacked an important section - 'the plate section' - constantly referred to by the author to illustrate his narrative; so my enjoyment of the narrative was diminished. My advice is to borrow the individual volumes, which will be easier to manage and (hopefully) will be complete.

it was fantastic, my favourite part was when Nick found that the diamonds were not in the safe!!!???

excelent bok for anyone thinking of working and living in Ireland. just as it says in the cover. So good I bought myself a copy

Anyone who enjoys well -written autibiographies of ordinary people will love this book. If you happen to come from south London or Bromley you will like it even more. I was particuarly struck with the evocation of war time life.
